Following on from the success of the 2016 inaugural Cardiac Diffusion Working Group Meeting at SCMR in Los Angeles, we’d like to invite you to the 2017 meeting at SCMR in Washington DC. The meeting will be held on 9.30am – 12.00pm Sunday 5th,February 2017 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Centre. The working group meeting will follow on from the main meeting and we hope that this will allow further discussion of interesting work presented over the four days of the conference and pre-conference workshop.
For this SCMR Cardiac Diffusion Working Group Meeting we’d like to focus on processing cardiac diffusion data and we have invited Carlo Pierpaoli from the National Institutes of Health to speak. Dr Pierpaoli was instrumental in the development of DTI and has extensive experience in neurological DTI and in particular, in processing diffusion data and dealing with the accompanying artefacts. We will also have a number of talks from our community presenting the methods groups have developed to process diffusion CMR data. If you’d like to present on this theme, please email a.scott@rbht.nhs.uk. The 2016 meeting concluded with some very interesting discussions and we hope this year’s meeting meeting will be similar.
All are welcome to attend, but if you’d like to attend the meeting it would be useful if you could email a.scott@rbht.nhs.uk so that we have an indication of numbers for room allocation.
